The Firearm Licensing Authority will begin to accept applications for New Firearm User’s Licence, Firearm User’s (Special) Permits and Firearm User’s (Employee) Certificates as of Tuesday October 17 th, 2006.

Completed application Forms and supporting documents should be placed in a sealed envelope, addressed to the Authority, and deposited in Firearm Licensing Authority Receptacles placed at each Police Divisional Headquarters island-wide.

Completed applications may also be submitted to the Authority through registered mail.

Only Applications that have been completed on Firearm Licensing Authority FLA001 Forms will be accepted.

Persons with applications under the previous Authority (the Jamaica Constabulary Force) are asked to submit a new application to the present Authority (the Firearm Licensing Authority) as soon as possible.

Licence Fee (Application Fee) paid for Applications that had not been completely processed, under the previous Authority, may be used to accompany new applications.
